I always find newborn sessions come in ebbs and flows. I have certainly had an influx of sweet little peanuts in the studio this year and I couldn’t love it more! As true with most of my work, I would definitely describe my style of newborn work to be very organic. I embrace baby led posing. After all, if babe is happier in the way they are positioned the session overall will be such a relaxed experience for all.
I haven’t had many parents who wanted to be included in the newborn session so I must admit this made little Georgia’s session that much sweeter. It is so so so important for Mom and Dad to get in the frame too! These early days and weeks will go by in a blur. Looking back at these images and remembering how tiny that little babe was in your hands is such a precious gift you can give yourself. Coming up on my own babes FIRST birthday, there is nothing I love more than to look back at some of our first photos and reminisce about what a tiny peanut he was.
When I saw Mom and Dad walk in I was elated. I knew just how rad this session was going to be. There is nothing I love more than tattoos and tiny babies. Little Georgia was so alert during our time together and certainly happiest in Dad’s arms. I have no doubt that she will have him wrapped around her tiny fingers for many years to come. These images were certainly some of my absolute favorite from her newborn session. Welcome to the world miss Georgia, I can already tell just how loved you are!
